We are concerned about the protection of personal data. We are committed to ensuring the best level of protection for your personal data in accordance with the European and Belgian regulations that are applicable in this area.

For any information on the protection of personal data, you can also consult the website of the Belgian Data Protection Authority www.autoriteprotectiondonnees.be.

Who processes my personal data?

The data controller is the company that defines for what purpose and how your personal data is used.

The personal data collected on the site are processed jointly by Palesa, Leeuwerikenlaan 14, 1830 Machelen, Belgium. Hereinafter referred to as "PALESA".

Why does Palesa collect my personal data?

Palesa uses your personal data mainly for the following purposes:

- The management of orders and customer relations

We need your information to manage your orders and the follow-up of your orders (e.g. deliveries, invoices, accounting), to manage your accounts receivable, to monitor customer relations such as satisfaction surveys, complaints management and after-sales service.

- The personalisation of our services and the messages we send you

Your data allows us to improve and personalise the services we offer you and the communications we send you. For example: we may send you personalised emails or recommend products similar to those you have already purchased or viewed that match your interests.

- Anti-fraud

The personal data collected on the site are also processed in order to secure payments and deliveries and thus ensure you an optimal quality of service. Palesa determines the level of fraud risk associated with each order. As part of this analysis, PALESA is likely to question its service providers specialising in risk prevention in order to refine its analysis. Some of these service providers may be made recipients of the results of the analysis carried out and may use them on their own behalf to feed their own incident file.

Depending on the results of the checks carried out on orders, PALESA may take security measures, in particular requesting additional proof or proposing an alternative delivery method. These measures will have the effect of suspending the execution of the order or, if the result of the analysis does not guarantee the security of the order, cancelling it. The fraudulent use of a means of payment or delivery fraud may lead to the registration of the data related to the order in PALESA's alert file, which may lead PALESA to carry out additional checks on future orders.

- The security of our website

We collect certain navigational data to enable us to ensure the security of our services and to detect, prevent or trace any attempt at malicious or computer intrusion or any violation of the conditions of use of our Services.

- Customer knowledge and statistics and performance of our site

We may use data to better understand our customers or for statistical purposes to analyse site activity and improve the services we offer. We conduct audience measurement, for example, we measure the number of page views, the number of visits to the site, and the activity of visitors to the site and their frequency of return.
